June 25, 2017 – Olena Kalytiak Davis
This is another book I was assigned to read during my MFA program. I had to go through this one a couple of times because it definitely requires a slow read. I can best describe the poems as “thick” filled with so many things to take into account while reading them. I intend to tackle this book several more times.
Day 24: shattered sonnets love cards and other off and back handed importunities by Olena Kalytiak Davis
march licked me with all his brown lack
someone just handed me
of the absence
of the word:
O, to Lack!
I too am made
(mostwholey) of that.
