March 26, 2017 – Expanding My Sleeves With Hieroglyphs

I felt the next logical step was to begin adding my children’s names into my Egyptian theme.

My son’s name is on my left arm and my daughter’s name is on my right arm. I am particularly fond of these tats because Keller added a dimension that makes them appear to stand out and create a visual level that is unique to his style.

I know lots of people put their children’s names on their bodies when they commit to tattoos and of course I wanted to do the same. I also wanted to do it in a unique and creative way. I tend to lean that way with most things I do.I have gained a tremendous amount of strength from the love of my children and they have been integral in my survival. I am excited about the idea of integrating these cartouches into the overall theme that will complete my half sleeves. My daughter is going to sketch out an idea to fill in between what is already there.

I love putting my life story on my body in a way that speaks of a life journey that is both exhilarating and terrifying. There is still much to tell.
