I received a most unique birthday gift at age 52.
My daughter bought me a beautiful necklace and made an appointment for both of us to get matching tattoos like the necklace.
The necklace has two dragonflies intertwined with diamonds for eyes. My kids took me to dinner at Ceviche in St. Pete and after food, wine, and an awesome slice of chocolate cake Amber gave me the necklace. I was beyond excited to have received such a beautiful gift. She explained that the following morning we were going on a journey together. I was quite intrigued.
The next morning, we headed out for our “day trip” and ended up at Keller’s shop. I was so excited at the prospect of getting a new tat. I was quite addicted to tattoos by then. We ended up getting the matching tattoos, mine in Purple like my birthstone, Amethyst and Amber’s was blue like her birthstone, Saffire . Not only do I carry the memory of such a beautiful moment and gesture, but this tattoo was one that defined love. There was nothing to cover up, nothing to hide. To this day, I smile every time I look at it.
